In today’s fast-paced world, there is a growing need for confidence in mathematics ability starting from a young age.

Our Abacus Program is a holistic course designed for children aged 5 to 8 years . This is the prime age to develop mental arithmetic skills as well as confidence in one’s ability. The Abacus program is the first step towards whole-brain development, establishing a solid foundation and interest in basic arithmetic at a young age.

Rocket Maths®is our fun and exciting 'Mental Math Technique Course' for students of Year 3/4 to Year 8 based on the system of Vedic Mathematics. Through the powerful Vedic System, our course will cover a broad range of topics ranging from basic arithmetic to complex algebraic equations.

Alongside our proprietary Abacus and Rocket Maths® courses, we teach topics covered in school curriculum to complement the mental math techniques and problem solving abilities.

The aim of these courses is to develop a strong competency of mathematics, allowing students to solve difficult or large problems mentally with speed and efficiency. Altogether both our maths courses aim to deliver a powerful intuition of mathematics to our students, which will benefit them in future academic studies and competitive exams.

For a child to be enrolled in this Abacus Batch, they must be currently a student of Year 1 or Year 2.

For a student to be enrolled in our Rocket Maths® Course, they must be between Year 3 and Year 8 . This is the prime age to acquire the benefits of Vedic Mathematics.

The Abacus Program is divided into a series of levels that increase with complexity ranging from basic addition and subtraction operations to multi-digit multiplication and division mental calculations. 

Each level is designed for approximately 3 to 4 months and the total duration of the course is approximately 30 months or 2.5 years. 

After every level, students are assessed on their capabilities through ‘Level Tests’, which ensures students master the content in one level, before advancing to the next.

Our Rocket Maths® program is a 1 year long course and offers the complete mathematics package. It covers all branches of mathematics that the proposed age group is exposed to.

Classes are held once a week through 60- or 90-minute sessions.

Alongside our proprietary Abacus and Rocket Maths® Course, we teach topics covered in school curriculum to complement the mental math techniques and problem solving abilities.

A Brain Development Program

As a result, the right side of the brain, the part that deals with creativity and imagination, is underutilised.

Our Abacus Program is a brain development program that focuses on both sides of the brain. Our uniquely designed coursework will simultaneously stimulate a child’s left and right brain at the same time!

  • The Left-Side of the Brain will be stimulated through the challenging arithmetic calculations that encourage students to find the right solutions with accuracy.
  • The Right-Side of the Brain will be stimulated through the visualisation of the Abacus that complements the challenging calculations conducted by the left-side.

The Abacus

For Year 2 to Year 3

  • The main part of our program is the introduction of the Abacus. 
  • For our younger students completing the Finger Method, this builds directly from their existing knowledge. For our older students, it’s a perfect introduction to the Abacus straight from the first class! 
  • The program will involve both abacus and mental calculations for addition and subtraction questions up to 10,000. It will also involve abacus and mental calculations for multiplication and division for up to 3 digit numbers.
  • Concepts covered include abacus and mental calculations for addition, subtraction and multiplication, decimals, fractions and percentages.

The Highlights of the Rocket Maths® Course

Arithmetics, Squares and Square Roots

Rocket Maths 1.1 

  • In Rocket Maths 1.1 (RM1.1) students will master addition, subtraction, multiplication and division – the core foundation of mathematics. Students will learn how to solve complex calculations mentally and with speed through a variety of techniques.
  • We’ll also introduce the concept of squaring and square roots through the unique and exclusive concept of the duplex.
  • The aim of RM1.1 is to provide a comfortable yet engaging introduction to the Vedic system, a step towards developing a more creative, intuitive and fun attitude towards maths!

Algebra, Fractions and Probability

Rocket Maths 1.2

  • In Rocket Maths 1.2 (RM1.2), skills are developed further through more elaborate multiplication and division techniques which relate more to high school curricula
  • Students are also introduced to algebra, learning how to construct algebraic equations from word problems and to solve various linear algebraic equations like algebraic fraction and division 
  • This level will also develop and strengthen students’ knowledge of fractions and probability through various strategies unique to Vedic Maths

Highlights of the "Thinking Skills" Course

Literacy and Mathematics

  • Students will learn how to apply both literacy and mathematics skills across a broad range of complex problems. 
  • Content covered in this program includes: Analogies that ask students to identify relationships between pairs of words, complex number patterns, word knowledge problems testing student vocabulary, probability, puzzles involving 3D shapes, and codes that involve letters and numbers that make up words.
  • These techniques will help students think critically and creatively as our program goes through diverse applications of both literacy and numeracy 

Logic and Reasoning

  • The Thinking Skills program will help expand our student’s skills by helping them apply new concepts through complex problems and situations. 
  • The depth of content explored in this program will help enhance a student’s analytical skills and abstract reasoning, which is perfect for competitive exams.
  • Our program is also highly personalized. This means all students are able to progress quickly with the help of our expert teachers. In this way, students gain greater confidence in their abilities as they learn the content.
