Mathematics and English Writing

Mathematics (45 mins/week)

In today’s fast-paced world, there is a growing need for confidence in mathematics and English writing skills starting from a young age.

Rocket Maths®is our fun and exciting 'Mental Math Technique Course' for students of Year 3/4 to Year 8 (differently abled students up to year 12) based on the system of Vedic Mathematics. Through the powerful Vedic System, our course will cover a broad range of topics ranging from basic arithmetic to complex algebraic equations.

Alongside our proprietary Rocket Maths® course, we teach topics covered in school curriculum to complement the mental math techniques and problem solving abilities.

The aim of these courses is to develop a strong competency of mathematics, allowing students to solve difficult or large problems mentally with speed and efficiency. Altogether our Rocket Maths® course aim to deliver a powerful intuition of mathematics to our students, which will benefit them in future academic studies and competitive exams.

English Writing (45 mins/week)

Super Writers is a course designed to provide students of Yr 2 to Yr 6 (differently abled students up to Yr 12) with the core basics of creative writing. Students will learn to develop and articulate their opinions, think critically and creatively and develop their writing ability through consistent practice. In the Super Writers course, students will focus primarily on persuasive and narrative writing as these are tested in NAPLAN and other competitive exams.

The Super Writers Course provides a solid foundation in creative writing. Students are taught how to write critically through persuasive writing, and creatively through narrative writing. The combination of creative and critical thinking skills that are paramount to a fast-paced world. The skills developed through the Super Writers course are also beneficial in the academic environment, such as Competitive and Scholarship Exams.

For Selective Writing and Scholarship Exam preparation, students will learn many different types of texts throughout the term. viz., Persuasive, Narrative, Informative, Process, Compare & Contrast, Cause & Effect, Letters & Diary and Reports & Articles writing.  

For a student to be enrolled in our "All Abilities Education Program", they must be currently a student of Yr 3 to Yr 12.

Parents and students will be called for an initial screening for better understanding of student's requirements

On Sundays from 11:00am to 12:30pm (45 mins each Maths and/or English writing). Individualised approach for teaching, Teacher : Student = 1 : 4

Mathematics

Our Rocket Maths® program is a 1 year long course for main stream students (up to 2.5 Yrs or more for differently abled students) and offers the complete mathematics package. It covers all branches of mathematics that the proposed age group is exposed to.

Classes are held once a week through 60- or 90-minute sessions (45 minutes for All Abilities Education Program).

Alongside our proprietary Rocket Maths® Course, we teach topics covered in school curriculum to complement the mental math techniques and problem solving abilities.

English Writing

In the Super Writers Course, students will receive tailored feedback on their writing, providing a strong foundation in writing and a direction in improvement and refinement of a student's writing ability

  • Classes are held once a week through 60 minute sessions (45 minutes for All Abilities Education Program).
  • This personalised experience will unlock your child’s potential, providing a solid foundation in writing useful in not only school and academics, but in day to day life.
  • After every unit, students are given ample time to practice, develop and refine the skills learned in the previous weeks through writing prompts. This is complemented by personalised feedback from the teacher to identify strengths and weaknesses and provide direction for improvement


Our courses are designed to provide a personalised, learning experience. The program will move at the pace of the student whilst also challenging them to push past their limitations. This personalised experience will unlock your child’s potential, providing a solid foundation in Mathematics and English writing useful in not only school and academics, but in day to day life.

The Highlights of the Rocket Maths® Course

Arithmetics, Squares and Square Roots

Rocket Maths 1.1 

  • In Rocket Maths 1.1 (RM1.1) students will master addition, subtraction, multiplication and division – the core foundation of mathematics. Students will learn how to solve complex calculations mentally and with speed through a variety of techniques.
  • We’ll also introduce the concept of squaring and square roots through the unique and exclusive concept of the duplex.
  • The aim of RM1.1 is to provide a comfortable yet engaging introduction to the Vedic system, a step towards developing a more creative, intuitive and fun attitude towards maths!

Algebra, Fractions and Probability

Rocket Maths 1.2

  • In Rocket Maths 1.2 (RM1.2), skills are developed further through more elaborate multiplication and division techniques which relate more to high school curricula
  • Students are also introduced to algebra, learning how to construct algebraic equations from word problems and to solve various linear algebraic equations like algebraic fraction and division 
  • This level will also develop and strengthen students’ knowledge of fractions and probability through various strategies unique to Vedic Maths

Highlights of the "English Writing" Course

Persuasive Writing

  • In the first unit, students will learn how to compose persuasive texts
  • This is an introductory unit where students will learn how to identify persuasive texts, develop opinions, reasons and construct a persuasive text.
  • Students will learn the basics of critical thinking and most importantly, how to articulate a developed and sophisticated idea.
  • Concepts covered include: persuasive language devices, persuasive writing structure, opinion and reason, and identifying persuasive texts.

Narrative Writing

  • In our second unit, students will learn how to creatively compose narrative texts.
  • In this unit, students learn how to develop a story, describe their stories and articulate a story thesis. This unit will teach students how to think creatively, and how to use language to be descriptive in conveying information
  • Concepts covered include: developing a story, identifying narrative texts, narrative text structure, narrative writing structures.
